Approximate Telegram account date
Under a person’s ID, @username_to_id_bot writes an “Account created” line with a month and a year. It is an estimate from the numeric ID, not a date Telegram reported. The line is free. The newest IDs say “after”.
Where the line appears
- A person’s username, alone in the message.
- A message forwarded from the person.
- The pick-user button.
- Reply in another chat, when the author is a person. That reply has a card for the chat and a card for the author (name, username, ID) with this line. It has no counts and no list buttons.
Where the line is absent
- A numeric-ID lookup. The card shows the name and username, not the creation month.
- The “this is your ID” reply, when you send your own number.
- Several usernames in one message (subscription only): a short line with the ID.
- A bot, a group or a channel. There is no estimate for those.
How it is calculated
The bot knows pairs of “ID number, date” and, for an ID between two of them, takes the month in between. The line is a month and a year, with a ~ . If the number is newer than the last known point, the line says the account was created that month or later.
The day, and Telegram’s own registration date, are not available this way. The line is not paid.
