VK page ID
Send @username_to_id_bot a link to a VK person or community. The bot replies with the numeric id for free. It cannot find that person’s Telegram from the VK page: the accounts are not linked in open data.
Which link works
vk.com, vk.ru, vk.me and vk.link work: a short name, id plus digits, or club, public or event plus digits. A link shared from the app works too.
- A person: the id with no minus sign, the vk.com address and short name, the name, and a mark for an open, closed, deleted or blocked page.
- A community: the same reply, with a minus before the id.
- A post, photo, clip, wall or other media is refused. The bot asks for the page link.
What the bot asks next
In a private chat the reply has buttons: their Telegram, the VK id, something else. “Their Telegram” gets the answer that a Telegram account cannot be found from a VK page, and a request for the @username if you know it. The VK id is already in the reply.
A group chat does not ask that question. The reply is free and does not depend on a subscription. The HTTP API has no VK method.
