idbot
Instagram profile ID
Send @username_to_id_bot a link to an Instagram profile, including one shared from the app. The bot replies for free with the numeric ID, the username, the name, and whether the profile is public or private.
What comes back
- An Instagram line, the @username, the name when there is one, and the id.
- Public or private, on its own line. If that is unknown, the mark is left out.
- A post or reel link does not work: the bot asks for the profile link.
What the reply does not do
The bot does not look up the person’s Telegram from an Instagram profile. The reply is free, but the number of free Instagram checks per day is limited: when they run out, the bot asks you to try again tomorrow. The HTTP API has no Instagram method: the API returns a Telegram username → id only.
