Inline mode: a Telegram ID in any chat
Type @username_to_id_bot in the input field of any chat: a private chat, a group or a channel. Options appear above the field, and the one you tap is sent from you with a “via @username_to_id_bot” mark. @getmy_idbot, @GetAnyTelegramIdBot and @raw_data_bot work the same way.
What to type
- Just @username_to_id_bot: your ID. The second option adds the approximate sign-up date of the account.
- @username_to_id_bot @username: the ID of the user, bot, group or channel with that username. The @ is optional.
- @username_to_id_bot and a numeric user ID: their username and name, when the bot has seen the person in groups. Subscription only; the list of groups is not included.
Limits
The bot looks up once you stop typing, so a half-typed username costs nothing. Username checks use the same daily limit as the private chat with the bot. Ones that are not found do not count.
When nothing is found or the limit is reached, a button above the list says why instead of options. It opens the bot.
What the chat sees
Every sent message has a “Find any Telegram ID” button that leads to the bot. Past usernames, names and groups are not shown inline: send the same request to the bot in a private chat for those.
